Biological pollutants are found everywhere; in water, on surfaces and of course in the air. Biologicals cover a wide range of substances and organisms. They can include dust mites, mildew and mold, pet dander, plant pollen and of course viruses and bacteria to name a few. Biologicals can impact individuals differently from allergic reactions, to major health issues, to no symptoms at all.
The challenge with capturing Biological pollutants is that often they are smaller than the recognize standard PM2.5 filtration requirements of mask and air purifiers, with some viral pathogens smaller than .1 micron.
We believe the best strategy when eliminating viral pathogens from the air is not just capture them in a filter but to destroy them by attacking the RNA or DNA with high voltage and germicidal ultraviolet light rays.
