Mask for Meals
It’s been good to see some curves starting to flatten this week, with the positive impact of social distances. I’ve also noticed more people wearing a mask and facial coverings to help in the effort. You may have seen the image of the Hunan bus in China where a Covid-19 passenger was linked to the spread of the virus to other passengers. What they were able to surmise was that no passengers wearing masks contracted the virus.
Last week the FDA approved the Chinese standard KN95 mask (identical protection as the N95) as effective protection and stated that any type of covering is better than nothing at all. It's becoming more and more obvious that these devices can play an effective role in the fight against the spread of cold and flu.
As each country jockeys for position to secure mask from Asia, I believe we are all hopeful that American manufacturers will begin to produce quantities that support the needs of our health care providers and municipal workers, public servants, essential workers and other heroes that have stepped up to support us during these challenging times, as well as the needs of all citizens.
